Baby Fat Stick is an unscented solid tallow balm made for babies and young children. Parents use it on dry patches, chapped lips and cheeks, and anywhere small skin needs a protective layer of moisture. It contains no essential oils, no synthetic fragrance, and no harsh preservatives. It is a moisturizer, not a medicated product.
It is made for sensitive baby skin — completely unscented, with no essential oils, from a short ingredient list: sweet almond oil, beeswax, grass-fed tallow, cocoa seed butter, shea butter, coconut oil, rosehip oil, kukui seed oil, and olive oil. As with any product used on an infant, check with your pediatrician first, and patch test a small area.
Most often on dry cheeks and chins, chapped lips, the skin around a runny nose, and dry patches on arms and legs. The balm leaves a protective layer that helps skin hold on to moisture. It is a moisturizer and is not intended to treat, cure or prevent any medical condition. If your baby has a persistent rash or irritated skin, please speak with your pediatrician.
The Baby Fat Stick is completely unscented with no essential oils, which makes it a better fit for infants, whose skin and airways are more sensitive. The regular Fat Stick scents contain essential oils. Both use the same tallow and beeswax base.
Apply a small amount directly from the stick to dry or chapped areas. The balm softens on contact with skin, so a thin layer is plenty. Reapply as often as needed.
