why grass fed beef tallow

WASH, RINSE, REPEAT! Looking to keep your blonde or silver hair looking its best? Then FATCO has the perfect purple shampoo bar for you! Made with grass fed tallow and rice starch, this purple shampoo removes brassiness and leaves your hair looking shiny and healthy. Plus, it contains provitamin B5 to help keep your hair soft and hydrated. So if you're looking for a purple shampoo that does it all, FATCO is the way to go!

Tallow has been used for centuries as an all-natural moisturizer and skin conditioner. It's also rich in vitamins A and D and contains essential fatty acids that help protect your skin from environmental damage and irritation.

But did you know that tallow is also great for hair? The same properties that make it so good for your skin are also great for your hair: vitamins A and D help strengthen hair follicles and prevent breakage; essential fatty acids keep your scalp healthy; and its natural moisturizing properties keep your scalp hydrated so it doesn't dry out or become too oily.

The pH of our Shampoo Bar hovers around 4.4-5, providing a much more gentle cleanse than many of the other shampoo bars available on the market. This is because most of the "other guys" are formulated more like a soap bar than a shampoo bar.

Since the pH of your skin is around 9-10 (i.e, much more alkaline) and the pH of your scalp is around 4-5 (a bit more acidic), this means that washing your hair with a shampoo bar that's formulated like a soap will massively disrupt the pH of your scalp, and will likely cause your hair to become dry and brittle.

Our bar also uses only the highest quality ingredients like Grass-Fed Tallow, ProVitamin B5 and Quinoa Protein to cleanse and condition your hair, leaving it healthy, shiny, and free from harmful chemicals.

Bar measures 2" in diameter x 1.75" thick.

Ingredients: Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Stearic Acid, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Decyl Glucoside, Ricinus Communis Seed Oil (Black Castor Oil), Tallow from Grass-Fed Cows, Panthenol (ProVitaminB5), Silk Amino Acids, Melia Azadirachta (Neem Leaf Extract), Oryza Sativa (Rice Starch), Lavandula Officinale (Lavender) Oil, Melaleuca Alternafolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil, CI 60730 (Violet #2), Phexylene Glycol (and) Caprylyl Glycol (and) Zingiber Officinale (Ginger) Root Extract (and) Allium Sativum (Garlic) Bulb Extract, Citric Acid.

How to Use Your New Shampoo Bar: Wet hair thoroughly. Part hair down the middle. Gently rub the bar along the scalp. Move your fingertips over about 1". Part the hair again, and rub the bar against the scalp. Continue these 2 steps (parting hair, rubbing bar against scalp) until all of the roots have been touched. Scrub your scalp using your fingertips. Rinse. Repeat as necessary.

How to Care for your New Shampoo Bar: After you shower, place the shampoo bar on a clean, dry surface for 5 to 10 minutes so it can dry completely. If you store the bar when it is still wet or damp, it will disintegrate over time. Avoid leaving your conditioner bar in the shower where it may come into contact with water.

Lasts anywhere from 75-90 washes!

Purple shampoo neutralises yellow and brassy tones in blonde, silver, grey and highlighted hair. Purple sits opposite yellow on the colour wheel, so it cancels warmth when deposited on the hair shaft. It is a toning step between salon visits, not a permanent colour change.
Once or twice a week suits most people, in place of your regular shampoo on those days. Overuse can deposit too much pigment and leave a violet cast, which shows most on very light platinum or white hair. If you notice a lavender tint, cut back.
You can, but the effect is subtle. Purple shampoo shows up most on light hair where the pigment can visibly cancel brassiness. On dark brown or black hair you are unlikely to see much. On highlights or balayage in brunette hair, it will tone the lightened sections.
No. Like FATCO's other shampoo bars it is a syndet bar — built on gentle synthetic detergents rather than made by saponifying fat with lye — which is why it sits at a hair-friendly pH of roughly 4.4 to 5. True soap bars run pH 9 or higher and leave hair feeling rough, which matters even more on bleached or highlighted hair.
Many purple shampoos are drying because they rely on sulfates to deposit pigment efficiently. This one is sulfate-free and pH-balanced, which makes it gentler on bleached or highlighted hair. Follow with the conditioner bar on lengths and ends.
Yes, with care. It works well on light-coloured human hair extensions. Do not leave it on longer than 2 to 3 minutes, since porous hair takes up pigment faster than natural hair. Do not use it on synthetic extensions — the pigment can stain synthetic fibres unevenly.
At one or two uses a week, a single bar can last 4 to 6 months. With daily use expect 75 to 90 washes, the same as the other shampoo bars. Keep it dry between uses to get the most out of it.
